Here is a demonstration I did during an NLP Training in Las Vegas, Nevada a couple of years ago.

It involves assisting  a student in overcoming his extreme fear of flying via a classic NLP Technique called “Mapping Across”.

Although this NLP Technique is not usually used for fears and phobias- I remember the first time a student asked me if it could be and I stated, “There’s one way to find out” and sure enough it worked wonderfully well. This is the KEY to understanding the ART behind the techniques of NLP. When you truly understand that art of NLP, Life Coach & Hypnosis, you are able to be considerably more flexible in your approach and able to gain results where others- who only know the “steps” of a specific technique would find themselves stumped in what to do when the specific technique doesn’t work.

Below is a copy of an email he sent me after his very long flight back to Germany that he of course gave me permission to share…

“Hi Kevin,

First, I’m sorry to hear of the passing of your friend Gil Boyne. If he was your mentor, then he must have been a great man indeed! I’m sure I’ll become more familiar with him and his work as I continue my journey.

I’d also like to let you know that my flight back was a piece of cake! The most relaxing that I can remember. Although my anxiety was not completely vanished, especially when we hit turbulence, I’d say on a scale of 1 to 10, it was no more than a 3 (compared to 8 or 9 on the trip over). I’ll get it down to “0” with time. Thanks again!! And, I know that I have a ways to go to get where I want, but I am CONFIDENT that I’ll get there,

Thanks for being MY friend and mentor,

Till then,

Terry”

**For those that may not have known him, Gil Boyne was both a pioneer and continued contributor to the field of hypnotherapy who happened to be both a friend and mentor of mine. The email above was referencing a newsletter I had sent out in 2010 regarding his passing.
